How to Load money on to your Freedom Prepaid MasterCard®

There are many ways in which you can load money onto your card:

At your local PayPoint outlet

There are over 20,000 PayPoint outlets throughout the UK (click here to locate your nearest outlet).

Here, you will be able to load cash onto your Freedom Prepaid MasterCard. Simply hand the cash you wish to load onto your Freedom Card to the cashier, along with the card, and they will undertake the load and provide you with a receipt. Funds are normally available within 2 hours of loading.

At your local Post Office

Post Office
There are over 14,000 Post Offices throughout the UK. Just go to your local outlet and hand the cash you wish to load onto your Freedom Card to the cashier, along with the card and they will undertake the load and provide you with a receipt. Funds are normally available for use on the card by 10:30am the next day.

There are many easy ways in which you can top up your Freedom Card Account using your bank account:


Standing Order

Set up a standing order over the phone or at your local branch

2. Complete it as instructed and take it to your bank or phone them and provide all the details as listed in the form

Online Banking

It’s easy to top-up your Freedom Card online, simply

1. Log onto your online bank account

2. Set up a payment (contact your bank if you need help) using the following details:

  • Bank: Barclays Bank
  • Account Name: NBS RE WHITE EAGLE
  • Online banking
  • Account Number: 23879410
  • Sort Code: 20-59-42
  • Payment Reference – You will need to provide the full 16 digit card number, as shown in the adjacent example
  • The amount you want to transfer

It’s vital that you use your full 16 digit card number from the front of your card as
the payment reference – otherwise we will not be able to allocate the money onto
your Freedom Card Account.

Telephone Banking

Simply phone your bank and instruct them to transfer money onto your Freedom Card Account using the details provided above.

Bank Transfer in branch

Post Office
Simply go into your local branch and provide the details listed above or download the Bank Transfer details here. Please ensure you add your 16 digit card number as the payment reference.

1. Download & Print out the Wages Payment Form

2. Using block capitals and black ink, complete the form, as instructed

3. Simply hand this form over to your employer to process

Benefit Payments

Post Office
It’s easy – as soon as you receive your Freedom Card, simply:

1. Download & Print out the Benefit/Wages Payment Form

2. Using block capitals and black ink, complete the form, as instructed

3. Simply hand this form over to your Benefits Office to process
Please note – the minimum load amount is £10 (any load attempts below this amount will be rejected)
